My teacher style is to first identify the specific area the student is struggling with. I help the students develop skills to better tackle the area. I believe in presenting the material in several different ways until the student understands it. I work hard to make learning a positive, fun and encouraging experience.

Since my days as a math tutor in college for high school students, I knew that I had the ability to explain numbers and abstract information to students across the demographic. I graduated from UCF with a Bachelors in Communicative Disorders (speech therapy). I love english and science and found this to be a perfect mix. I worked with children with language delays in group settings and also tutored children individually. I am currently in the process of obtaining my teaching certificate in science and working towards my masters degree.
I prefer to work with children who have learning disabilities and/or with a dislike for education. I find that my teaching style is interesting to this particular type of student. I acknowledge the childs dismay in learning and I allow them to help me to adjust the teaching material to a teaching style that best suits the childs learning style. Science and english are subjects that many children don't enjoy. I make it much easier for them to learn the subject and then we expound thier knowledge from there.
