I graduated from Sonoma State with a BA in English, Single subject emphasis. I am taking a year off before I go back to get my teaching credential in reading. The majority of my classes were geared towards the teaching of reading and writing and I feel confident in my ability to help students improve in those areas. I also worked in a High School writing center and tutored for the past two semesters. I love being around kids and helping them. My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : I am currently in college studying Creative Writing, and have written several stories.

I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English, with an emphasis on Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University online. I have been writing for almost twenty years, although I have been writing poetry since I was in high school. I have been published in a book of poetry (although it wasn't widely distributed), and I love to teach people about Shakespeare because of how much I enjoy learning about the time period and writing styles of the period.
I don't have a specific style. If you have questions, I am more than happy to answer them, and elaborate on what you're not understanding.

Learning can be fun!

I am currently teaching English as a second language to post-secondary international students at California State University Sacramento. I teach all areas of English, including grammar, composition, reading, and listening and speaking skills. I have taught beginning English to refugees in Sacramento, as well as English as a foreign language in Guatemala and Honduras.
