I am a Music Education student at Florida Southern College. I also have worked for two years in a Kids Care. I am very good with children, but do have experience for older teenagers as well. A Little Bit About Me...

I really do not have a teaching style yet. A one on one setting is what I am used to. I am open to different teaching techniques depending on the help the child requires. The internet is available and has many different techniques to learning different subjects I can research as I see fit.
I have just received my BA in E-Business management with a minor in Criminal Justice. I am beginning my Masters in Criminal Justice in March and will continue to a Dr. in the same field when possible. I do not have professional experience teaching however I have experience tutoring my niece who I have been responsible for since she was 5. She is now 12 and a straight A student. My teaching style is one that is more interactive than instructional. I continue to be amazed while I observe the thought process and problem solving techniques, of the many different and varying individuals and personalities. I am at my best in one on one situations, where I can troubleshoot and identify learning challenges in their early stages. I believe we retain 30% of what we hear and 50% of what we do. The remainder is acquired through repetition, which is a byproduct of a passion waiting to be discovered.

A Little Bit About Me...

I really love working with young people and helping them to reach their full potential. As a tutor, I do not teach the material necessarily, but I help to facilitate the learning process and reiterate what has already been explained and taught in the classroom (hopefully). I enjoy helping students learn, no matter what the subject is. Young people truly are the future, and as an educator I feel compelled to invest in their academic experience.
I have an undergraduate and master's degree, both focused in religious studies. I taught for two years at a private school here in Orlando. I taught middle school English and Bible. I have also been working with Valencia Community College (east campus) as a tutor for many different subject areas. I have also done some tutoring on the side in reading, grammar, math, religion, history, etc.
