As a special eduation major, I was provided with various methods of teaching using adaptations and modifications to meet student's needs. I taught at the high school level for 3 years. As a requirement of the special education curriculum, I developed yearly attainable goals for each of my students with documented modifications for each area. I developed numerous activities and tasks for the students to perform in order to meet their goals for the year. The majority of my students were moderate to severely disabled, however, for the students whom I was able to teach subject areas to, I did so at the elementary level.

Although I have only formally been tutoring for about 6 years, I was a tutor all through my childhood helping other children learn when I finished with my classwork.
