I believe that children learn best from hands on experiences. It is up to me, the teacher to create these experiences, guide the child, and provide lots of postive reinforcement. There are many ways to learn and it is up to the teacher to help the student find which ways they learn best. There is also many different areas of intelligence and every person has a strength in one or more of these areas. Expectations should always be made clear, as well as an opportunity for routine, but also allowing room for flexibility. The child always comes first. I realized my passion for teaching after working in a daycare for two years and organizing their preschool program.
