I am a recently retired teacher. I have taught at all levels preK through high school and with diverse populations, including overseas. I have taught chess at Lindbergh, Randall, and West Middleton Elementary schools. I also teach chess at the public library (Pinney Branch). I am Currently Working for Becton Dickinson making agar testing plates. I wanted to also use my academic experience to tackle elementary level homework in general.

I prefer one on one or a small group no larger than five. I am patient and appreciate questions the student has so that I may better serve them. I have tutored on and off for the past 12 years. I am now a teacher at a private school in Monona. I help aid a Preschool classroom and have my own classroom in the afternoon for students age four. I also run an after school program once the school day is done with and that incorporates 4 year-olds to seventh graders. I help students out with homework during that time. Before I started my teaching job, I was substituting in Madison and Verona Area School Districts. While in college I had many practicum's in different classrooms and would help students out inside and outside of the classroom. If I have an idea of what is expected of me then I am able to help modify the session to fit the learner. I like to use both direct teach as well as discussion to help guide the tutoring session.
