I have a BA in Theatre Arts, a minor in Dance, and have received a Montessori Certification from NAMC. However, I learned the fundamentals of teaching (being on time, prepared, patient, and encouraging) from my first job as a dance teacher while I was still in high school. After University, I taught ESL in Korea for three years, as well as developed curriculum for a set of nationwide schools. In addition to that, I tutored students privately outside of the classroom. I myself am a visual and auditory learner, so I am very open to all types of teaching styles. I find that people learn better when several avenues of learning are available for a subject. Also repetition is a very important device for making knowledge permanent. I like to bring a fun and light atmosphere to learning. While working on my undergrad I was given the opportunity to be a teaching assistant for a freshman college level film theory and design class.
