I start off with the student displaying what they know and/or don't know. I give an example and and encourage feedback in order to guage the student's understanding. Finally, I have the student to show their understanding. Sometimes, it may take different methods because people learn differently. I have had over 15 years of tutoring and/or teaching experience.
