Experience Summary
I have taught in Montgomery County Public Schools for two years and privately for two years. As an educator I understand that student motivation is imperative to help struggling learns accomplish and exceed their goals. My passion for knowledge is as strong as that feeling/sensation I get when I look into someone’s eyes and know they understand. This passion fuels my goals as an educator. I have acquired great knowledge, concepts, skills and techniques, integration of new technologies and adopted different educational philosophies that have merited me great success as an educator. I intend to utilize them with your student.
Teaching Style
I would describe my philosophy of education as an eclectic mixture of perennialism, progressivism, existentialism, and essentialism. As a prospective educator, I find it extremely important to ensure student learn basic skills and concepts in a classroom environment that is conducive to leaning. Students are valued commodities to our tomorrow and as an educator, I assume responsibility to instill moral values that promote students becoming ideal citizens. Students also need thought provoking stimulation that scaffolds learned material and experiences while erecting new concepts, ideas and more concise understanding. Experimentation, manipulative objects and social interaction between students is essential when considering the different learning styles of students and when coupled with nurtured creativity and individuality students are sure to learn, grow, and develop into valued assets to themselves, their families and society.
