I have approximately one year of experience of professional teaching working with a grant funded program at UNCP. With this program was very hands-on and interactive with the students. I have not taught anyone or tutored anyone for money. However, I would like to have the oppitunity to be able to tutor children or young adults on their way of the journey of life. I too was tutored going through school and not just once. I attended Sylvin Learning Center every other year since sixth grade. It helped me understand the areas that I didnt and excel in the areas I did. I would like to give thas opportunity to someone else. I learned through visual aid. So, I guess I would lean towards this style of teaching. However, if a student learns better with audio aid then I would be willing to combine the two methods to better educate the student. In public school, the key to teaching success is the ability to motivate students to try their best by learning as much about each individual student as possible and keeping their attention.
