Teaching Style
I have six children of my own and know that every child learns differently, even when they come from the same family. I believe the majority of children can master the material they are presented in school, but it is a matter of time. Many children take a little more time to understand the concepts and master the skills needed to move on to the next level. Sadly many of these children aren't given the time to do it and are just passed on to the next level. By doing this they fall further and further behind until they become discouraged to the point of quitting. I desire to reach those children. Not every child is an "A" student, but every child has his or her unique gifts. I strive to help each child find those gifts and to do the best he or she can in every area. I like to get to know the child and find the best way possible, whether it be modifying a curriculum or my own approaches, in order to help him or her reach her potential.
