I enjoy teaching with technology
I have taught second, third, fourth, and fifth grade. I was a teacher for 9 years. I just recently decided to resign from my teaching position to stay at home with my four year old son. I am enjoying my time with him. I am teaching him all the wonderful things that I didn't think I was going to be able to. I do miss teaching and watching my students learn.

Elementary Study Skills is one of my top subjects! I believe that children should study in the same place and time each day. This will give them a good habit that will encourage learning. I know this works because I studied this way throughout my school years.

My teaching style is using all our senses. If you can touch, taste, see, feel, and hear what you are engaged in, you will retain it for a long time.
I have taught children for over 20 years, including my own two children and grandchildren. I love teaching and working with children and their parents. I have received a number of awards in my Professional life as well as my social activities in my community. I also founded and started a business (Rainbow Consulting Services) in 2005. I used this business to promote literacy to children grades Pre-K-5th grades. I graduated high school in 2008. I then attended West Ga Tech., for over a year. I majored in technical communications and took numerous computer classes. I love computers and Math. Those are my two favorite subjects but I am pretty well rounded, there's not much I can't do. I'm very self motivated and enjoy helping people better themselves. After receiving my teaching certificate in 2001, I worked with fourth and second graders in Clayton County Public Schools as a classroom teacher. For a total of six years, I taught students in grades K-5, trained teachers to use technology, and served as the webmaster. After working in Clayton County Public Schools, I worked in Dekalb County Public School System as a classroom teacher. Learning is a Stepping Stone to a Successful Elevator

My style of teaching is based upon the needs of students. Learning can take place through hands on techniques, art, creativity, music, dance, paper/pencil, drama, or team work.
