I have experience with children from 6 weeks old through High School.As a teacher,tutor, mentor and director.I was very much driven to a high level of educational expertise.My area of expertise are students with ADD/ADHD or those who are disenchanted with learning or with school. The key is to listen to the child, find out what areas of interest they have and build on that. I have never encountered a child who did not want to read about their area of interests. A Little Bit About Me...

For the past ten years, I have been teaching High School English. I have taught grades 9-12 in Literature, Composition and Standards of Learning in preparation for the state exams. I have taught inclusion classes involving students with numerous learning styles and have always met and exceeded the expectations of their parents.
I am a very motivating person and tend to use humor as a method of teaching. I teach to and with the child and never down to him/her. I break large components into their simplest forms so that a child learns to take things one step at a time and not feel overwhelmed. I feel as though every child can achieve the impossible, and with the help of someone giving them the attention that they deserve and need, they will feel better about themselves as well.
