My teaching style consists of various things. First and foremost, I believe that all children can and will learn. When given the appropriate resources and materials, a safe and nuturing envirmonment and an individual capable and ready to teach the whole child success will then manifest.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have experience with children from 6 weeks old through High School.As a teacher,tutor, mentor and director.I was very much driven to a high level of educational expertise.My area of expertise are students with ADD/ADHD or those who are disenchanted with learning or with school. The key is to listen to the child, find out what areas of interest they have and build on that. I have never encountered a child who did not want to read about their area of interests. I have been teaching middle school science for the past eight years at a local Middle School. My endorsement is in biology. For the past four years I have been enrolled in a master's degree program in reading at ODU. This May I will graduate from that program. My goal is to teach reading and work with struggling readers. I am also qualified to tutor biology.
I enjoy working with children and helping them meet academic goals. As a tutor my job would be to find out how a child learns best. Learning styles can include auditory, visual, and kinesthetic.
