My experience as a Certified Public Accountant and Corporate Controller gives me practical knowledge to share with students. I am most helpful to college students that are required to take "one Accounting Course." We can get through it! Hello! I started tutoring two years ago and I love it! After spending my career working as a CPA and Corporate Controller and Job-Cost Accountant, I found tutoring! I find that teaching works best if you tailor the material to your audience - i.e. you don't want to lose them OR bore them. Use what they know as a foundation to build on to teach new concepts. If material is difficult or unfamiliar to your class it's important to be prepared in advance with several approaches to get the material across. I gave them a true life math example. Our equasion; a party with the number of students, quantity of different items and costs.
