I'm currently working on a Master's degree in Biomathematics at Illinois State University so that I can teach either Biology or Math at the community college level. While earning my degrees, I was inducted into a honor society with emphasis on helping the engineering students in our department in several way. Our focus was working with companies for future jobs and offering free tutoring every week for all computer and electrical engineering courses that were junior level and below. For 3 years I was apart of the tutoring while juggling my course load which also included a great deal of mathematics. My degrees required all three levels of Calculus, but I also completed additional calculus classes beyond those requirements.

I love teaching. I us a guiding method of teaching. Because I believe that students learn the most when they do the work themselves, but sometimes they need someone there to motivate them or to guide them in the right direction. From my experience of working the Math Lab at ICC, I have noticed that for some students, math is a rather difficult subject to them. Therefore, I always try to make sure my students understand everything I'm explaining and I always ask them for feedbacks so I know that they clearly understand everything. I always go over and review the materials I have taught/explained to the students so if there are any shady areas, I make sure I go over and expalin it again.
