While earning my degrees, I was inducted into a honor society with emphasis on helping the engineering students in our department in several way. Our focus was working with companies for future jobs and offering free tutoring every week for all computer and electrical engineering courses that were junior level and below. For 3 years I was apart of the tutoring while juggling my course load which also included a great deal of mathematics. My degrees required all three levels of Calculus, but I also completed additional calculus classes beyond those requirements.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, with a concentration in Statistics. I'm currently working on a Master's degree in Biomathematics at Illinois State University so that I can teach either Biology or Math at the community college level. I have over 5 years of experience teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and lower and upper division Statistics. I love teaching. I us a guiding method of teaching. Because I believe that students learn the most when they do the work themselves, but sometimes they need someone there to motivate them or to guide them in the right direction. I feel this works in group studies also, but, the difference being is that all the student will be involved in a group discussion.
