Accounting is a subject very much dependent on organization and understanding. Therefore, I emphasize the importance of learning the fundamentals and building upon them in a way that makes sense to my students. In the classroom setting, the challenge is to find a way to enlighten each student. Some learn best by hearing the lecture, some by seeing the visuals and examples, and others by reading the textbook and class materials. A Little Bit About Me...

Math to me is like a puzzle... if you can imagine the pieces in your mind, fitting them together in practice is so much easier. I am extremely patient and easy going, even in coaching, most kids gravitated to me because I could speak to them on their level. You have to explain it in a way that kids can understand. Positive feedback is very critical to let them know they are going down the right path.
I have lived in South Jersey all of my life. I received my degree in Accounting from Stockton and have spent most of my career in finance working my way up to Controller for several businesses. When I was laid off, I had always wanted to try teaching and I loved it. I love working with kids (I also coach baseball and football), I really get a kick out of passing my knowledge onto them and seeing their face when it sinks in.
