I got the tools you need to succeed !

I am currently a college sophomore at Florida Institute of Technology studying Computer Engineering so I know the problems a high school or school or college student would face in studies. Therefore, I will be able to communicate with m y students better and help them excel in studies and eliminate their weak points in any subject. I have no teaching style since I believe that to succeed one needs to seriously study and teach and cover your weakest subjects first.
I have taught high school students for five years now. However, I have taught college freshman for a year only. But, I do know what I am doing and I know how to help students. I am patient with everyone so I can communicate better and understand my students problems so, I have always succeeded in helping my students.

My comments on tutoring Organic Chemistry : I took both Organic Chemistry I and II and did well in both classes. I need to know what material to tutor on before so I can prepare.

I have tutored Biology in the past and have helped students with anatomy and physiology. I am a student at the University of Central Florida studying Biomedical Sciences and plan to go to medical school. I have learned how to study efficiently and can pass on that knowledge. I love teaching and find it extremely helpful for me to better understand the subject in addition to helping individuals learn the subject material.

I like the child to feel comfortable with me to where they are at ease and readily ask questions. I prefer to ask the student leading questions to aide them in coming to the conclusion on their own as opposed to simply telling them information. After a few questions have been answered then I am able to help them with the details of problem and a help them build a method for solving similar problems in the future.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been an computer and communication system engineer for more than 20 years. During that time I have completed a masters degree in Computer Science and and MBA. Along the way I have been president and chief education officer for a computer user group for over three years, I have shepherded my two children from kindergarten through four years of college each and I have tutored distance learning engineering classes for the University of Florida at Harris. When young, my children required a more detailed and patient approach than would a fellow engineer. At college I worked as a tutor for two years in the areas of chemistry and mathematics. I earned BA's in chemistry and biochemistry and have some laboratory experience. Having been educated at a liberal arts school has also given me the opportunity to study philosophy and sociology. I also write well, as writing is emphasized in all disciplines of study at Knox. Previous to my college education, I was also active in my tutoring program in high school.
The most important part of teaching is to teach students the principle or concept behind a subject. I do not believe in making students memorize absurdly large lists of facts in order to pass a test. Learning should be more fundamental than that. When a student has been successfully taught something, the student should be able to solve an array of problems with a common theme.
