No matter what field I have worked in over the years, I have always made teaching a component of what I do. I love teaching children. It is a challenge to engage them in the process. I adapt my style to each child's needs and personality. Although I set boundaries, I am not comfortable with being a stern taskmaster. I have a BS degree in Interdisciplinary Natural Science and a Minor in Public Health. I worked for USF Housing and Residential Education. I also was a Peer Leader for Chemistry where I was basically a Teaching Assistant and led two sections by myself.
I like the child to feel comfortable with me to where they are at ease and readily ask questions. I prefer to ask the student leading questions to aide them in coming to the conclusion on their own as opposed to simply telling them information.
