Specifically, my style is to instruct verbally, asking you to take notes for certain points that may be more difficult for your reference later. I do not instruct on the computer, rather working with you and pointing out skills or techniques you then do yourself on your computer. This speeds the memory/learning process for the student, you retain the process faster by executing the skills yourself rather than 'watching' them be done. A Little Bit About Me...

I double majored in Biology and English with a Bachelor of Science degree from a very well known, highly esteemed University in Wisconsin. I went to Taiwan for two months from March-May 2010 and helped teach in a "Bushiban" or cram school to kids aged 6-15. I am currently looking for a full-time job relating to my degree.
Conversational. From what I learned in Taiwan little kids are not for me. This is the truth. Kids at about 14 or 15 and older are much preferred. I don't think I am animated enough for younger children...well, not a GROUP of younger children anyway. When it comes to one on one though, it is much different I am sure. I like to give ideas on how to sound out words, remember grammar/math tricks and things like that.

I enjoy teaching and working with children and feel that it is important to understand that not all students learn the same way. I feel that my college experience has taught me to discover the ways I learn and understand things. In that sense I feel that all students have the potential to succeed if they acknowledge and become aware of their appropriate manner of learning. I have always drawn and painted. I put myself through college and taught one year at Vandenberg Middle School. I had then fallen in love with Los Olivos. I then went on through the years to open 2 art galleries and a frame shop. I have always taught art on the side such as life drawing, beginning drawing and children's private and adult classes. A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with children, especially the ones who have a disability because every child deserves an education not matter what. I have two disabled children myself and they bring me much joy in my life. Every child in this world have the potential to success and discovery their own hidden talents. I too would leran much from each child because they have this determination to never give-up and I will never give-up on a student who is struggling.
I tutored students in Early childhood studies but I also can tutor students in elementary math. I am currently working on my bachelor's degree in Early childhood studies.
