Learn Adobe CS Design & Wordpress Skills with a Pro !

My students are my Testimonials. I can put you in touch with former students in Adobe CS tutoring I have worked with who can refer to my tutoring style. Specifically, my style is to instruct verbally, asking you to take notes for certain points that may be more difficult for your reference later. I do not instruct on the computer, rather working with you and pointing out skills or techniques you then do yourself on your computer. This speeds the memory/learning process for the student, you retain the process faster by executing the skills yourself rather than 'watching' them be done. I am easy-going, experienced and patient and would encourage you to contact former successful n students & clients I've worked with. I am also available after or between sessions by phone or e-mail.

For more than 20 years I have been an educator and advocate for children and families in multiple settings. I have eight years of volunteer and paid classroom experience with K-12, teaching and tutoring in all curriculum areas (language arts, science, math, art, outdoor education). I have worked extensively with second language learners, and provided informal translation between Spanish speaking parents and English speaking teachers. Due to my journalism training and passion for reading and writing, I have excellent skills in these areas. In addition, I have extensive experience parenting and caring for pre-K children.
I have a passion for learning, and a love of all types of diversity. I thrive in one-on-one and small group scenarios where I can identify the learning styles and strengths of each child, and cater to their individuality. When I taught swimming one summer at the YMCA ... read more

It is always a thrill for me to work with a student and to help them achieve their goals. Each student is unique. The way in which they assimilate knowledge may also be unique. It is the skill of the teacher then to know what is the best approach to take with each student to help them discover their own inherent abilities. When a student also finds that the process of learning is enjoyable, it can foster a love for knowledge which will sustain them throughout their life. Life after all is an endless learning process and the more that we are open to learning and discovering, the more successful we will be in our lives.
I have enjoyed a unique educational background, having been required to study all academic disciplines as an undergraduate. The benefits of this unique approach to education later inspired me to earn a Master's degree in the development of consciousness, which ... read more

I have taught and tutored hundreds of children while substitute teaching. I have found that my style is one which tries to involve the student in the learning process as much as possible. I love using volunteers to read aloud and participate in the learning process. I feel that treating each child with respect and as individuals increases their own abilities and improves their self-confidence as well.

Conversational. From what I learned in Taiwan little kids are not for me. This is the truth. Kids at about 14 or 15 and older are much preferred. I don't think I am animated enough for younger children...well, not a GROUP of younger children anyway. When it comes to one on one though, it is much different I am sure. I like to give ideas on how to sound out words, remember grammar/math tricks and things like that.
I double majored in Biology and English with a Bachelor of Science degree from a very well known, highly esteemed University in Wisconsin. I went to Taiwan for two months from March-May 2010 and helped teach in a "Bushiban" or cram school to kids aged 6-15. I am currently looking for a full-time job relating to my degree.

Living with a disability has posed more challenges in my education than the average person, yet I have faced these challenges and overcome them. I earned my bachelor degree in social welfare in three years and I recently obtained my graduate degree in criminology, law, & society - both from the University of California. During my undergraduate studies I obtained a tutoring certificate and studied abroad. Ever since my graduate studies I have contributed to the community by volunteering at a local rape crisis agency and I have also learned Italian, Portuguese, and I am continually perfecting my Spanish.
I like to see children succeed, especially if I contribute to that progress. Teaching has been personal to me as I have regularly helped my nephew many times with his homework when he was younger. My goal is for students to reach success - whether it is to help students understa ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of Sociology I have gained a lot of knowledge about how society functions. I was interested in this area of study to understand peoples because I have always had compassion for others. I have participated in a 4 unit class where i taught Spanish to 8-11 year old children and it consisted of developing a plan that included songs and dancing to learn Spanish in a fun and animated way. I have done research on homelessness, and had an internship with a non profit that provides social services for those in need. Working closely with this organization has helped me assess peoples needs and use problem solving skills to help individuals in a variety of situations.
I enjoy teaching and working with children and feel that it is important to understand that not all students learn the same way. I feel that my college experience has taught me to discover the ways I learn and und ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I have always drawn and painted. I put myself through college and taught one year at Vandenberg Middle School. I had then fallen in love with Los Olivos. I then went on through the years to open 2 art galleries and a frame shop. I have always taught art on the side such as life drawing, beginning drawing and children's private and adult classes. I continue to teach my own daughter to draw and paint. We attend the Art galleries and The Santa Barbara Art Museum and have a great time. I am 54 and full of teaching information. I love people and art. I like to work in Acrylics, pastels, pencils, watercolors, and other mediums.
I like to try to see what is in a person and see what if I can develop their own style. Some people like to work small, others quite large. Some abstract others detailed and traditional. I like to have students explore many different mediums when they are comfort ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with children, especially the ones who have a disability because every child deserves an education not matter what. I have two disabled children myself and they bring me much joy in my life. Every child in this world have the potential to success and discovery their own hidden talents. I too would leran much from each child because they have this determination to never give-up and I will never give-up on a student who is struggling.

Education has always been an essential function in my life, it eventually became my passion. I achieved a bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts and a Master's degree in Mass Communications/screenwriting which I believe portrays my adoration for learning new things and excelling at things I am already interested in. I have two younger siblings in which I have tutored my whole life in multiple subjects and it has been rewarding in ways I cannot describe. In my last year of Graduate school, I was a teacher's assistant for the head professor of screenwriting for the bachelor's program. Most of my expertise is in the Arts but I can also accomodate Elementary, Junior High and High School subjects (English, Literature, and Language Arts, mostly).
My teaching style consists of consistency, understanding, consideration, connection and positive acknowledgement. All children need consistency ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I use a teaching paradigm that stresses the importance of student's needs and learning styles. Every student brings unique skills and perspectives to the classroom and tutor session, and because of this I have found that my teaching strategy changes per student and per teaching situation. For some students, being taught using the socratic method works well, while others like to take notes, absorb the material, then ask questions later during office hours. I have found that understanding student's learning methods have helped me to become a better teacher.
As a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo I was interested in English education, especially in terms of helping students improving their reading and writing skills. I followed this interest by tutoring at the university writing lab, as well as doing frequent one-on-one tutor sessions with students in need. At the end of each quarte ... read more
