I'm a recent alumnus of the University of Florida and have not taught before. But I have plenty of experience as a student to understand how best to approach teaching painting. My comments on tutoring Painting : I would be comfortable working with students using acrylic or tempera paint.

I have tutored a wide variety students on many subjects. I am most experienced tutoring high school students for the SAT. I worked with Let's Get Ready, a non-profit organization dedicated to preparing high school students for the SAT and their college search process. I typically tutored students for the Math section, but I am capable of tutoring for the Critical Reading and Writing sections as well. A Little Bit About Me...

I really like working with children from low income families. I think each child has a different interest and way of learning. I try to discover these learning styles before I begin the tutoring process. I try to allow them to be comfortable and having fun during our sessions. Most of the time I do a lot of question/conversation responses to allow them to find the answer for themselves. I like a problem based learning style, even for the youngest of children. I not only want to teach them how to properly concur their learning material but how to find the information they need if they do not know the answer. I graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelors degree in Neuroscience. This degree has allowed me to achieve a great understanding of the sciences. I have taken math classes up to Calculus 2 and a variety of science classes. In addition to this, I wrote my own thesis paper for a neuroscience laboratory that I worked in for two and a half years.
