My name is Perry Miles. I have quite a bit of experience tutoring and have attended some of the best schools in the country. I went to the Newhouse School (at Syracuse University) and studied broadcast journalism to get my bachelors Degree before earning my Masters in Health Informatics from USF Tampa this past December. Once while subbing, I entered a classroom where the students had been allowed to watch Jerry Springer on TV for the last two weeks. I couldn't let this continue, but I saw how emotional the class was about the show. I encouraged them to write their own talk show and told them we would perform it the next day. I find that connecting student's interest with the subject matter to be learned is the best way to teach. After completing my undergraduate degree in English Literature at Florida State University, I worked as a substitute teacher in Hillsborough County for two years. In 2009, I completed my Master's Degree in Communication at University of South Florida while simultaneously employed at the Department of Special Education.
