• Efficiently managed a safe learning environment while organizing groups, reinforcing rules and procedures, and teaching various skills and life lessons.
• Planned and implemented movement education lesson plans with a variety of appropriate skill progressions that aligned to Sunshine State Standards.
• Organized and coordinated the school's 2008 events Jump Rope for Heart and Sessum's Field Day.
• Supervised student dismissal and transportation as well school safety drills such as bus, fire, and tornado drills.
Teaching Style
As a professional in the field of physical education it is my obligation to change the way physical education is perceived in our society. The purpose of Physical Education is to help children develop the skills they will need for becoming functionally active and healthy people in society. It is important to realize that the mind and the body are closely linked together. Physical education and academic achievement are closely linked in that physical fitness promotes a healthy mind. I want my students to not only achieve in my class, but also to achieve academically in other classes. By teaching with that in mind, society will see that I play an intricate part of my student’s education.
