I have taken 2 semesters of ASL at the college level and frequently interact with the local Deaf community in Lakeland, FL. I aim for all tutoring to be done in the target language, but I recognize that this is unhelpful for many students. Nevertheless, I will start out only using the target language, but will switch to the students' preferred language upon request. I have tutored 1 student privately in Spanish for 2 years, and she went from failing her class to passing both the AP and IB exams with a 5 and a 6, respectively.
