I really do not have a teaching style yet. A one on one setting is what I am used to. I am open to different teaching techniques depending on the help the child requires. The internet is available and has many different techniques to learning different subjects I can research as I see fit.
I have just received my BA in E-Business management with a minor in Criminal Justice. Not all people learn in the same manner. It's important to recognize clues that identify preferred learning styles and incorporate lesson plans accordingly. I believe in breaking things into its simplest form using analogies to help with learning and retention. I believe it is not only important to teach the curriculum, but to also relate the benefits of learning into (age appropriate) real-life lessons. I had 10 courses in accounting as an accounting major and took 5 courses in economics even though only 3 were required becuase I liked economics. I only had one course in statistics but I did well in it. Becuase accounting, economics and statistics are the courses that schools use to "weed" the crop for the business schools that has been where all the demand has been for tutoring and where I have gained all of my tutoring experience.
