After completing my education at Brigham Young University-Idaho in the spring of 2003, I was hired to work as an aid at the school where I had done my student teaching. During this year, I worked with students in reading and math lab classes which were designed to help students who were struggling to achieve proficient scores on their ISAT's. I then was hired as a teacher and taught for the next two years in the subjects of reading lab, literature, and language arts. I worked with 6th through 8th grade students, and enjoyed each age and the challenges that come with that time in a student's life. I also have children of my own, which has taught me much more about working with children and helping them to learn. I enjoy watching students grasp the scientific method as it is something that comes naturally to most people if put in the right context. I have been a teacher and tutor for a few years. I taught in a high school English and Music. Right after I graduated High school I was asked to help struggling students and teach a bit when the teacher was gone. Also I have worked in Elementary schools I have taught lessons at least once a week. I have been in teaching methods classes and I have take Education psychology.
