Experience Summary
I believe all students can succeed. It is my responsibility to engineer learning opportunities to ensure that every student progresses to his/her greatest potential in a joyful, positive, and relaxed atmosphere. I have taught and tutored 9th through 12th grades in Advanced Placement as well as challenged learners in French and English, and I know how to listen and find the best techniques to help students. I have extensive experience in teaching writing at every level. My degrees in EngIish, Education and National Board Certification show I am committed to excellence for myself and my students.
Teaching Style
I teach with encouragement, enthusiasm and high expectations. When I am excited about the learning, the student is too. I prepare. I am ready with excellent examples and fun, pertinent activities. It gives me tremendous joy to see students learn whether it be a concept or a skill. I know my subject, and I can answer any questions with broad, respectful answers. I am familiar with, and use computer technology whenever it fits the learning situation. Students are my passion and each one is precious to me.
