Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.

I don't use a lesson plan or guided lessons, I let the kids lead. They usually know what they need help on and if they can figure out what they are having problems with, then everything usually starts making sense. I usually keep my laptop with me, I refer to it if there is something I can't answer or figure out how to start drawing. I don't rely on it, but usually use it as a reference tool.
I've never actually tutored someone, but I am very good at relating with younger kids and High Schoolers. I was in band from 8th grade to 12th grade where I participated in the Front Ensemble section with keyboards, vibraphones, marimbas, xylophones and various other instruments. My approach to teaching is highly individualized and targeted to meet a student's specific needs. Teaching has been my career ever since I entered a primary classroom at age 16 and finished teaching graduate and undergraduate students. I was trained as a teacher at The Leewards Teachers' Training College (in Antigua), an affiliate of University of the West Indies (Jamaica). As a Primary and Secondary School teacher, I taught English Grammar, Mathematics, and the Social Sciences. Although I have strong mathematical skills, I present myself here primarily as an English teacher, because of my expert facility with the grammar, usage, and vocabulary of the language.
