I started teaching chemistry in 1964. During my child-raising years, I did a lot of substitute teaching in various subjects, and worked at part-time and temporary classroom teaching and tutoring. My longest position was at University of Massachusetts, Lowell campus, (1993 through 2004, before moving to Florida), teaching 3 different levels of Freshman Chemistry. I have tutored chemistry, math, and biology in Florida since 2007, as an employee of Advanced Learning Center, St. Petersburg, until 2011, and independently to the present time. A major portion has been at Shorecrest Prep, St Petersburg, 2007 to now. I have met students at school, home, libraries and other public places. Look. Let's be honest. If You hate Organic Chemistry, there is little I can do to help you. The only way to bring what talent you have is hard work. There is no easy way to learn Organic Chemistry. You must do a lot of problems, and you must work hard. Sorry, but that is the way it is. I am a working scientist who has been in the Tampa Bay area for over twenty years.
