Experience Summary
A recent graduate of Georgia Tech, I've been helping students in math, chemistry, and physics for the last 3 years. I am very friendly and like working with and helping people. I worked for the Department of Housing, tutoring residents in freshman dorms, as a volunteer turor for the chemical engineer honors society, and as a teaching assistant for the chemical engineering department.
Teaching Style
It may sound obviously, but I try to start with the fundamentals. I believe that learning is generally, a slow, methodical, and deliberate process. Because of that, I want to make sure that my students understand the background of the problem. Once it is clear that they do, I like to let them guide me through what they've done thusfar and why, and finally to explain how to solve the problem using other examples and previous lessons that they can apply to the current problem.
