My teaching style depends upon the learning style of the student. For example, if the student is a visual learner then the student is taught using pictures, books, charts, etc. Or if the student is an auditory learner then the student is taught orally with pictures, books, charts used as supports. As a special needs teacher I individualized lessons for students.
I have 27 years of special needs teaching experience. I have taught students in all grade levels. I taught at the elementary level (K-6th) for 14 years; at the junior high level (7th-8th) for 3 years and at the high school level (9th-12th) for 10 years. My strength is teaching basic skills (reading and math) and organizational/study skills and helping students to realize their individual potential.

I love interacting with children and teaching them to the best of my ability. I know that each child is unique and you have to truly understand the child and the stresses and concerns they have with learning, before you can teach them. If they are willing, and if they are taught correctly, every child can learn. No two children are the same, and should not be taught as such. There are so many different ways to teach and understand a concept, and I try to search out the technique that best fits a child in need. I am a firm believer that there is nothing we “can’t do” if we are taught in such a way that we can truly understand. To turn on the light, you must simply find the right switch. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a teacher and tutor for a few years. I taught in a high school English and Music. Right after I graduated High school I was asked to help struggling students and teach a bit when the teacher was gone. Also I have worked in Elementary schools I have taught lessons at least once a week. I have been in teaching methods classes and I have take Education psychology. I have also been able to in three months encourage students to improve grades that are at a 50% low to a 90-100% high.
I teach from the core of a person they have the inner agency to choose to succeed and they can succeed if they desire to be great they will be great. Also I believe in teaching through the nine learning intelligences as well as the six thinking hats. Also I teach by blooms taxonomy up to synthesis and evaluation. I am up to date and have read many books and taught in these styles.
