A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style depends upon the learning style of the student. For example, if the student is a visual learner then the student is taught using pictures, books, charts, etc. Or if the student is an auditory learner then the student is taught orally with pictures, books, charts used as supports. As a special needs teacher I individualized lessons for students.
I have 27 years of special needs teaching experience. I have taught students in all grade levels. I taught at the elementary level (K-6th) for 14 years; at the junior high level (7th-8th) for 3 years and at the high school level (9th-12th) for 10 years. My strength is teaching basic skills (reading and math) and organizational/study skills and helping students to realize their individual potential.

A Little Bit About Me...

I do not have a degree. I have been instructed by the teachers I have worked with. My style is to let the student know that they are to be attentive, polite, and to try their best to do the lessons. I tell them that I am there to help them and I do encourage them by rewarding with appropriate items. I have been raising a great grandchild, now 11 years of age. I adopted him at age 24 months. He has been diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, and Emotionally Challenged. I have learned a great deal working with the schools, teachers, PSR's and counselors. A Little Bit About Me...

I teach from the core of a person they have the inner agency to choose to succeed and they can succeed if they desire to be great they will be great. Also I believe in teaching through the nine learning intelligences as well as the six thinking hats. Also I teach by blooms taxonomy up to synthesis and evaluation. I am up to date and have read many books and taught in these styles.
I have been a teacher and tutor for a few years. I taught in a high school English and Music. Right after I graduated High school I was asked to help struggling students and teach a bit when the teacher was gone. A Little Bit About Me...

I knew I wanted to be a teacher from the time that I was a Kindergartner. That may seem to be a silly dream for a five-year-old, but I have always loved education. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in April of 2010, and my Idaho Teaching Certificate in September of 2010. I like to have visuals. They are important no matter what age. i use powerpoint, pictures, think of stories, and try to get the students involved as much as they can. People either learn, by seeng, doing, or both, so it is good to teach using all of the learning tools.
As a business major I learned alot about the importance of language and communication. I took classes in english, and writing. I was a tutor for over 100 students for 2 years in finance and taght a class twice a week on Microsoft Excel. In high school I volunteered at an elementary school to help children with ADD and behavioral issues for 3 trimesters. I was a staff member at Cedar Badge, a week long leadership training course for scouts, teaching leadership skills.
