Improving the lives of children has always been a passion of mine. While my academic background has had a focus, primarily, in the social work realm, my overall philosophy for working with youth emphasizes patience and education. I have sought opportunities working with both young children and adolescents. My interest began when I tutored elementary age children during my high school career. Since then, my experiences range from being a school social worker, to teaching anger management group therapy to adolescents, to encouraging education among the youth in my community. Being a recent graduate of a university I am able to relate to students and understand the academic setting.
