I believe each child/adult is different and each has a unique learning style. My teaching style will depend on each persons learning type. Some need very little direction before they get started and some need you to guide and direct them most of the time. I can do both and love watching that red light click on when someone finally understands the concept of something new. I have been taking math classes since my freshman year in high school. Math is by far my favorite subject. I have taken everything from pre-algebra to calculus, including Statistics. I am currently working as a Mechincal Engineer and would love to assist others with their math needs. I am also very advanced in the use of AutoCAD/Drafting for Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, and Surveying. I have had 8 years experience with the AutoCAD program, and would love to get involved with any high school student that needs a little extra help. I enjoy being around others that love to learn. I am a very methodical and meticulous personality. I graduated from the UF in May 2010 with a BS in Structural Engineering and a minor in Latin American Studies and am working on my master’s degree at Virginia Tech in Geotechnical Engineering. I took extra courses to learn Haitian Creole and Spanish and am in the midst of teaching myself French because I enjoy learning languages. While at the UF, I was a resident assistant for the freshmen residence halls. I mentored and tutored my residents in math, beginner’s chemistry, and physics.
