I have been a GIS professional for 17 years making cartographic products along with teaching various GIS skills to staff and clients. I am a certified GISP and love helping people achieve their goals. I have developed QA/QC methodologies for GIS along with implementing various GIS programs at previous jobs. I am looking for a career change and teaching children/adults sounds like a wonderful opportunity to give back and help them become independent functioning individuals. I grew up with a speech impediment that I overcame with the help of a tutor.
I believe each child/adult is different and each has a unique learning style. My teaching style will depend on each persons learning type.
