I love working with children, especially the ones who have a disability because every child deserves an education not matter what. I have two disabled children myself and they bring me much joy in my life. Every child in this world have the potential to success and discovery their own hidden talents. I too would leran much from each child because they have this determination to never give-up and I will never give-up on a student who is struggling. I tutored students in Early childhood studies but I also can tutor students in elementary math. I am currently working on my bachelor's degree in Early childhood studies. I will have my bachelor's degree in May 2011 and I am going on to my teahcer credential degree for special needs children. I have tutor at Allan Hancock College. I double majored in Biology and English with a Bachelor of Science degree from a very well known, highly esteemed University in Wisconsin. I went to Taiwan for two months from March-May 2010 and helped teach in a "Bushiban" or cram school to kids aged 6-15. I am currently looking for a full-time job relating to my degree. Conversational. From what I learned in Taiwan little kids are not for me. This is the truth. Kids at about 14 or 15 and older are much preferred. I don't think I am animated enough for younger children...well, not a GROUP of younger children anyway. When it comes to one on one though, it is much different I am sure. I like to give ideas on how to sound out words, remember grammar/math tricks and things like that.
