I completed coursework in several biology and chemistry classes. This coursework included labs and field work. The biology labs I have experience in include: Zoology, Ecology, Freshwater Biology, Insect, and Fish Biology. These labs were highly detailed and included all levels of dissections, identification of species using taxonomic keys, and microscope work. The field work included species colllection, mapping, and sample collection. Lab reports and field notes were required as part of the labs. The seminars for these courses involved all aspects of biology and life sciences. The exams for these courses were involved and would require 2-5 page essays on biological systems. I start by asking the students to tell me exactly what is it that they not understand and start from there. I then like to work backwards from that point to find where they got lost.
