I have been teaching for three years at the secondary level, although I have worked with younger students. My degree is in Business Education, but I have tutored in math before as well. I am very passionate about educating others and have used my two Education degrees (Bachelor’s and Master’s) to work with students of all levels, especially in math. In my three years of full-time teaching experience, I have taught 6th grade math, 8th grade math, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-calculus, Trigonometry, and AP Calculus. Additionally, I have two years of experience tutoring elementary students in reading and writing, as well as volunteering many hours to help run educational programs for elementary through college age students.
I absolutely love teaching and especially enjoy working with upper level students, although I love working with children as well. As a non-traditional student I recognize the necessity to create a level of confidence that inspires a student to continue their education with success. I feel that perspectives on learning and my life-experience make me an ideal contact for any student interested in mastering the topics of math, physics, chemistry, or Spanish.
