I like the one on one aspect of tutoring. I enjoy teaching, but I really like tutoring because I get to know the child and am able to help him/her with his or her specific area of need. I like to make learning fun by playing learning games with the student. I am a Christian and I believe all children are unique and have their own abilities. I believe a child can accomplish anything to the best of their ability if he or she puts his or her all into it. I want to see children succeed and feel confident in who they are as a person.

I believe all children can learn. What I have learned is that tapping into an aspect of the child's interest and using that to build the foundation for their learning is the best way to teach. Piaget called the idea that kids learn by building upon what they already know "constructivism," and I consider myself a constructivist.
