I do my best to make learning fun and relatable.

I have worked as an English, Math, and Science tutor at both the undergraduate and graduate level for the past 7 years. Within that time, I have tutored countless students that have shown noticeable improvement in their test scores and their understanding of class material. As an undergraduate at Victor Valley College, I was part of the Model United Nations program, the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and the Writing Center. I currently work as a tutor at CSU San Bernardino, where I assist students with writing assignments from a wide variety of disciplines. As a senior/graduate level pre-medical biology major, I am highly experienced with topics ranging from Cellular Respiration to Neuroscience. Education has always been very important to me. My life has been dedicated to the learning and teaching of music (particularly guitar). While double majoring with two very different music degrees at CSU San Bernardino I also established my own private lesson schedule where I taught classical, blues, and rock of various modern styles to my students. Currently I'm finishing up a California single subject teachers credential in music at CSU San Bernardino. A Little Bit About Me...

I began teaching at Hesperia Christian in 1995. First, I substituted and then taught part-time, two to four subjects a year: Advanced Math and Drama, 5 years; Biology, 1 year; and Advanced Drama, 3 years. When my son started seventh grade, I began homeschooling. I taught Earth and Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Grammar, Vocabulary, English Composition, British and American Literature, Geography, American and World History, Ethics, Social Studies, Government, Sign Language, and Bible. Studying French from 3rd grade through college back East and having friends who are French here in California has allowed me to remember the basics for the last thirty years.
