I do my best to make learning fun and relatable.

I have worked as an English, Math, and Science tutor at both the undergraduate and graduate level for the past 7 years. Within that time, I have tutored countless students that have shown noticeable improvement in their test scores and their understanding of class material. As an undergraduate at Victor Valley College, I was part of the Model United Nations program, the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and the Writing Center. I currently work as a tutor at CSU San Bernardino, where I assist students with writing assignments from a wide variety of disciplines. As a senior/graduate level pre-medical biology major, I am highly experienced with topics ranging from Cellular Respiration to Neuroscience. I enjoy seeing children discover the world around them in their own ways. Therefore, I teach the importance of working things out until you understand it for yourself. Children will meet and often surpass any goal that is given to them if you show that you believe in them. I use a hands-on approach, as much as possible, with a problem-solving emphasis. I firmly believe that a child remembers things more if he is able to work it out for himself. As a result, I take more of a mentoring position the older the child is.
