I began teaching at Hesperia Christian in 1995. First, I substituted and then taught part-time, two to four subjects a year: Advanced Math and Drama, 5 years; Biology, 1 year; and Advanced Drama, 3 years. When my son started seventh grade, I began homeschooling. I taught Earth and Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Grammar, Vocabulary, English Composition, British and American Literature, Geography, American and World History, Ethics, Social Studies, Government, Sign Language, and Bible. I have tutored high school students at San Gorgonio High School in a variety of subjects for 6 months. In addition, I worked as an independent English tutor in Buenos Aires, Argentina for 6 months. When I was in high school I did two years of tutoring at Franklin Elementary. I'm currently employed at Club Z Tutoring and attend University of Redlands to obtain my teaching credential.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is student focused. It is necessary to understand the student's strenghts and needs before one can begin to assist them in learning the academic material that they need to master. Much of my preshool teaching career consisted of working with four year olds and getting them ready for kindergarten. I made it a point of talking to kindergarten teachers in the local area so that I had an idea of the skills that my students would need to have. I used that as a guideline.
