As an English teacher at Inlingua, I had to teach the the different aspects of the English language. I brought in different props in order to teach the grammar and punctiation. I tutored underprivileged children in a program for veterans. I have a BA in Foreign Languages, which means I can speak Spanish and Italian. I lived in Switzerland were I was a nanny and had to teach English to the children. I lived there for almost 2 years, so I can speak basic German and French.
I love working with children as well as adults. Children seem to warm up to me and I love being around them. Throughout my experiences, I had to learn the patience to deal with children that English is not their native language. There was miscommunication, and I found that they at sometimes they understood my body language better. I love using the internet/songs, because young children will not sit still for that long. I remember every morning, Simon, Thomas, and I would get in our circle, and I would teach them different songs in English. For example, I taught them "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."
