Great lessons made fun!

I use common phrases to start and then continue with common verbs and increase the vocabulary with common everyday words. I use my fun, outgoing personality to make sure that the lessons are not only fun but also stick in he mind for maximum retention of each lesson.
I lived in Brazil and taught English to Brazilians. I also taught Portuguese to Americans who were living in Brazil. My comments on tutoring Writing : The Hand Writing Without Tears approach works well for those in special education as it has many techniques for chanllenged students.

My comments on tutoring Writing : In foreign countries, where I have worked as a teacher, many students have a different language, thus, a different writing system. My job is therefore twofold. First I must teach the students how to recognize written English and secondly, how to write in a totally new way. This is both difficult and rewarding for both the teacher and the student.

From 2002 through 2010 I served as an Adult leader for the BSA through which I taught subjects ranging from life skills (cooking, sewing, personal care, etc) to government (political structure, citizenship, etc.) to outdoor survival(fire making, edible plant recognition, swimming, etc.) Also, from 2004 through 2012, I served as a safety trainer and risk management trainer for two different employers. In January 2012, I decided to put my English Literature degree to use, so I began my studies to earn my TESOL certificate. Learning spanish in an untraditional fun way!

I have been a spanish tutor on high School level for 2 years and I also tutored spanish for adults on and off for more than 2 years. I tutored people on different levels, also people with no experiance as well as people with a little more spanish knowledge. I studied spanish in Spain and had a great experiance with an amazing teacher. Looking forward to help people learning spanish again in a fun way like I did.
