Great lessons made fun!

I use common phrases to start and then continue with common verbs and increase the vocabulary with common everyday words. I use my fun, outgoing personality to make sure that the lessons are not only fun but also stick in he mind for maximum retention of each lesson.

My comments on tutoring Spelling : English has been the subject I have taught for the last three years. As an ESL teacher, I not only have to theach all aspects of English, but I have to adapt my teaching methods to the lower understanding of my students. In an ESL experience as well as any other, I, not only must teach the spelling of words, but teach an understanding of why they are spelled as they are. I do this to instill a deeper understanding about the words the student is learning.

From 2002 through 2010 I served as an Adult leader for the BSA through which I taught subjects ranging from life skills (cooking, sewing, personal care, etc) to government (political structure, citizenship, etc.) to outdoor survival(fire making, edible plant recognition, swimming, etc.) Also, from 2004 through 2012, I served as a safety trainer and risk management trainer for two different employers. Learning spanish in an untraditional fun way!
