As a current undergraduate chemistry and honors student at Arcadia University, I was recommended to become a tutor from several of my teachers my first year in college. I became a certified CRLA tutor and started tutoring my sophomore year of college; I've been tutoring ever since. I tutor chemistry, biology, math (beginner algebra, statistics, calculus I and II), and calculus based physics. I love working with students and teaching them something new. The best feeling is when someone understands a concept that they didn't before; when something "clicks" for a student, I feel as if my job as a tutor was done. I'm a very determined, persistent, caring, and patient person; all of these characteristics have helped me become a great tutor.

I love Microbiology. My enthusiasm for this science is evident when I teach. I believe in building a strong knowledge base by emphasizing basics. I have been involved in the Microbiology field for over 40 years. I have taught Microbiology to employees and student interns. The Medical Society of New York chose me to educate physicians regarding the CLIA laws governing all clinical laboratories. I earned my MA degree in Biology from Villanova University in December 1997. For the next two years I earned my living by tutoring students in biology and math as a side business until I landed a research position at Princeton University in 1999. Since then I have been doing laboratory research in the pharmaceutical industry. My extensive background in Biology has allowed me to learn several aspects in the field that I would not have learned in the classroom. I take pride in discerning each student's learning style and then teaching them in the most effective manner. I am a firm believer that all people are teachable, and that no real method is ultimately the best, but that the approach should be tailored to what the student is good at. I have three degrees, Masters in Biochemistry, B.A. in Biology, and an Associates Degree in Business Administration.
