My comments on tutoring Algebra III : I hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics and an M.S. in Statistics and have experience teaching undergraduates and graduates.

My diverse skills and experience in mathematics, statistics, and computer programming should be advantageous in this circumstance. I have worked with mathematical software and statistical models since 1989 and love doing collaborative statistical and mathematical research to solve challenging problems. I hold a PhD in Mathematics and a Master’s Degree in Statistics. I recently worked as an independent machine learning consultant. In this capacity, I dealt routinely with HMM (Hidden Markov) models, neural networks, and LSA and LDA analysis of text data. Experienced high school and middle school math tutor

When tutoring, I try to meet the students needs by utilizing methods of teaching which take into consideration the student's learning style. I explain concepts using visual representations as well as numerical/algebraic models. I am a very patient teacher who will find various ways of explaining math concepts, until I find one that works for the student. I teach students the "why" behind the process rather than explaining the process of finding a solution by only listing a number of steps, which the students easily forget. If the student knows why a process works, they will be able to recreate it again at a future date.
