The type of instructor I am working to become and remain does not view teaching as a job but, views teaching as an ongoing mission. My job will be to ensure that all students learn and not just to teach. The knowledge conveyed will become applicable philosophies and skills in the lives of my students that can shape their towns, communities, and even possibly the world. More About This Tutor...

As a teacher, classroom experiences have made me realize all students do not learn the same fashion. Some students are more aggressive and advanced but there are those who are silent and will not speak out about difficulties understanding competencies. I prefer not to embarrass those students but give them the opportunity to learn one-on-one. While some students have a difficult time with teacher/student ratio, I like to give the option of working with another student who may understand the content and can teach another peer. In addition, students need to connect content with real world examples that I bring to the classroom. Students comprehend what they understand and identify.
